How fast does a solvent recovery system amortise?

The amortisation of a solvent recovery system with amounts of more than 200 litres per day generally takes place within one year. Smaller system normally amortise after about two years.
What are the advantages of vacuum distillation?

The distillation can be carried out at lower temperatures, as the vacuum leads to a decrease in the boiling point of the solvent. Hereby, the energy demand and thus the operational costs are reduced. The lower temperatures have some positive side effects: Thermal decomposition of the solvent is prevented, and foaming due to contained water is reduced. In addition, when reprocessing purification fluids with contained nitro lacquer, process temperatures of less than 100 °C can be ensured.
