We’re excited to announce another important milestone for LÖMI: for the first time, our EDA solvent debinding systems has been selected for the North American orthodontics market.
The application? Tiny metal injection moulded (MIM) stainless steel dental brackets.
During extensive trials, our EDA technology demonstrated that these extremely small and delicate components can be solvent debound in just a matter of minutes, delivering outstanding process reliability, excellent part quality and consistent results.
What makes this project even more remarkable is that our customer is making a strategic transition to solvent debinding, replacing their binder extraction process with LÖMI technology. This decision was driven not only by the convincing trial results and outstanding process quality, but also by the significant cost-saving potential our solvent debinding technology offers compared to the existing one.
