LÖMI celebrates its 30th anniversary – we thank our customers, suppliers and employees!
Since 1991, the engineer-operated LÖMI GmbH has stood for innovative and high-quality process engineering systems in the fields of solvent recycling, PIM and AM debinding, plastics recycling and environmental technology. LÖMI plants are used worldwide in the automotive, aerospace, chemical, plastics processing, optical, surface treatment, electronics, printing, pharmaceutical and medical technology industries.
LÖMI develops – together with renowned partners from research and industry – novel processes worldwide. In recent years, we have developed, in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute IVV, a new technology for plastics recycling for our customer Unilever. Using this technology, it is possible to selectively dissolve multilayer plastic waste – for example from food packaging – in a way that is extremely gentle on the material, separate it into the different plastic fractions, clean it and package it for further processing. The raw materials recovered by this process are similar in quality to virgin materials and are therefore suitable for use in high-quality applications.

For example, we launched our solvent debinding systems in 2001 and within a few years have become one of the world market leaders.
